Frame Measuring

After driving the vehicle onto the frame bench, and clamping into place, use the measuring system to produce a minimum of 8-point 3D measurement.
Identify the different components of the measuring system.
Familiarize yourself with the measuring software and create a new repair order, entering in the vehicle information.
Measure 8 points on the underside of the vehicle, then save and print the ‘before’ measurements.
After completing frame repairs on the vehicle with your mentor, save and print the ‘after’ measurements.
These are critical to reduce liability and document the file. After printing, provide copies to the Service Advisor for documenting in the RO.
Take a photo of the vehicle being measured, with images of the measuring system software showing the current target measurements.
