Bumper Repair

Work with your mentor to identify a plastic bumper cover with minor damage that can be repaired.
Depending on damage and repair preference, decide if repairs will be completed with adhesives or plastic welding.
Clean the bumper cover thoroughly with soap and water, to remove all contaminants and debris.
Plan out the repair, and set aside the correct products and materials that will be needed to complete.
If needed, apply heat to the damaged area and shape the plastic back to it’s original shape and state.
Select repair method, and repair by plastic welding or adhesives.
Complete the final repair, and submit a photo of the completed repair prior to sending to paint.
