Disassembly

  • Full disassembly will ensure that all damage is identified, and the correct parts and labor are documented on the initial estimate.
  • Work with your Mentor and Service Advisor to identify all parts requiring removal and replacement.
  • Fully disassemble all damaged parts and parts needing removal for access for refinish. Separate them from the non-damaged parts.
  • Work with your Service Advisor to fully document all items needed for repairs, these should include:
    • Damaged parts
    • Repair times
    • Labor to R&I or R&R components
    • Refinish/blend time
    • Mechanical operations
    • ADAS calibrations
  • Accurately documenting repairs to the vehicle is critical to both a complete repair, as well as a profitable estimate.
  • Take a photo of the vehicle you are working on, showing complete disassembly.
