Crash Champions, one of the nation’s fastest-growing collision repair providers, collaborated with industry partners to restore and donate a vehicle to a deserving veteran through the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides® program. The presentation took place during the URG Conference, held at Topgolf in Centennial, Colorado, on Wednesday, May 7.

During the event, U.S. Navy Veteran Matthew Elliott, a nominee of the Department of Veterans Affairs, received the keys to a fully refurbished 2019 Toyota Camry, donated by GEICO and restored through the volunteer efforts of  certifiedCrash Champions Body Technicians and Painters.

Programs like Recycled Rides® bring together collision repair facilities, insurers and industry partners with a shared goal of providing dependable transportation to individuals working to overcome challenging circumstances.

“Having transportation, I can count on every day makes a big difference,” said Elliott. “This gives me the ability to focus on work, school and what comes next. I truly appreciate everyone who played a part in making this happen.”

For Elliott, the donation marks an important step forward. After serving in the U.S. Navy from 2008 to 2014, he experienced a series of hardships, including a period without stable housing. More recently, he has been rebuilding his life through consistent work and continued education. With access to reliable transportation, he is now better equipped to pursue new opportunities and maintain forward progress.

“At Crash Champions, we believe it’s important to step up in ways that have a lasting impact,” said Matt Ebert, Founder and CEO of Crash Champions. “Being part of this effort allows us to support veterans like Matthew by helping remove everyday obstacles and opening the door to new opportunities. We’re grateful for his service to our country and hope this small token of our appreciation makes a positive impact.”

The NABC Recycled Rides® presentation, sponsored by URG United Recyclers Group, brought together members of the collision repair industry to support charitable causes and deliver meaningful outcomes for recipients. As a Level One member of the NABC®, Crash Champions is proud to be part of these efforts, supporting the Recycled Rides® program through vehicle restoration and donation initiatives nationwide.
