Auto Body Repair

Auto Body Repair at Crash Champions

An auto body shop repairs the outside of your vehicle: body panels, bumpers, dents, paint, glass, and the frame underneath it all. At Crash Champions, we do that work at 650+ I-CAR Gold Class certified locations across 38+ states, and we put a written lifetime guarantee behind every repair.

You do not need an accident to need a body shop. Door dings, parking lot scrapes, hail, a cracked bumper cover. Our certified technicians handle the small jobs and the big ones, for all makes and models. We’re car people.

What an Auto Body Shop Does

An auto body shop restores the body of a vehicle after damage. That means straightening or replacing panels, removing dents, repairing bumpers and fenders, refinishing paint, and replacing damaged glass. It also means structural work when the damage goes deeper than the surface.

At Crash Champions, that full range lives under one roof. Bumper repair covers the rigid and semi-rigid plastic covers on modern vehicles. Dent repair and removal handles damage of any size, and paintless dent repair (PDR) removes many dents without repainting, which preserves your original finish. Hail damage repair combines PDR with refinishing where storms leave more than dents behind.

When a hit reaches the structure, frame repair brings the vehicle back to manufacturer specifications, and vehicles with aluminum panels get aluminum repair at 100+ certified centers. And because nearly every body repair ends with paint, our auto painting teams refinish repaired panels using your vehicle’s manufacturer-supplied paint code, so the new finish matches the old one.

Auto Body Repair vs. Collision Repair

Auto body repair is the broader category. It covers any repair to your vehicle’s body, whether the damage came from a crash, a hailstorm, or a runaway shopping cart. Collision repair is the accident-specific version, and it usually adds insurance claims, structural inspection, and safety-system recalibration to the job.

The same team handles both here. If you were in an accident, start with our collision repair page, which walks through the claims process and what to expect. If you simply have damage you want gone, a free estimate is the fastest path.

How to Choose an Auto Body Shop

Before you hand over your keys, check 4 things: training certifications, a written warranty on the work, insurance coordination, and a free estimate. Not all repair shops work to the same standard, and a shop that puts all 4 in writing is a shop you can hold to them.

Certifications tell you who is actually doing the work. Every Crash Champions location is I-CAR Gold Class certified, the collision repair industry’s highest training recognition, renewed annually. A written warranty tells you the shop stands behind the work. Ours is a written lifetime guarantee, honored at any of our locations for as long as you own the vehicle. Insurance coordination tells you how much of the paperwork lands on you. We work directly with major insurance providers and handle the claim documents ourselves. And a free estimate tells you what you are dealing with before you commit to anything.

The 10-Step Repair Process

Every repair here follows the same 10-step process, whether it starts as a scraped fender or a major collision. Your vehicle gets a diagnostic pre-scan at intake and a post-scan before delivery, which confirms onboard sensors and safety equipment work the way they did before the damage. In between come disassembly and damage analysis, the finalized repair plan, body and paint work, reassembly, and a rigorous quality control inspection. Every vehicle is washed, vacuumed, and detailed before pickup.
